  • Technology strategy 

    In the current telecommunications environment good business decisions cannot be made in isolation of strong technical understanding, nor can good technical decisions be made without understanding the associated business risks and opportunities. 

    We support service providers in the development of technology strategy through our understanding of the relationship between the demands of business (such as revenue growth, profitability and competitive positioning) and the benefits which existing and emerging technologies can offer (such as new product and service offerings, operational efficiencies or better return from capital investments). 

    Typical scenarios in which we deliver this service would include support for the development of business cases and propositions, strategies for the re-engineering of technology platforms and their application or planning for the introduction of new technologies. 

  • Strategic procurement 

    Successfully managed solution procurement can create competitive advantage by assuring timely, cost-effective access to the benefits that a solution is expected to deliver. 

    We approach strategic procurement from a technical perspective focused on supporting a diverse range of activities undertaken by a broad set of communities including Commercial, Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing and Suppliers. 

    We apply our technical and business expertise following a structured approach in a number of key areas including the Request For Quotation process, the generation of technical schedules for contracts and the structuring of outsource arrangements. 

  • Technical assurance 

    Technical assurance is applied across both solution procurement and solution realisation providing linkage between business needs and the technology solutions delivered by suppliers. We work closely with product and commercial communities on behalf of the technology team and provide an independent review of supplier deliverables. The goal is to act as a trusted third party that can ensure that the business achieves the objectives agreed with suppliers at the time of contract and that the technology solution delivered by suppliers is responsive to the evolving needs of the business. 

  • Separation and consolidation 

    Service providers are experiencing change through acquisition, merger or separation. These changes each have specific challenges relating to the resulting impact on networks or OSS/BSS. Decisions need to be informed by expert technical knowledge and guided by sound project discipline. Our consultants offer specialist skills and experience to support service providers through these change scenarios.
